 Biointerphases Student Awards

Aims

To encourage young researchers' works, the journal Biointerphases will present Student Awards to selected eligible researchers attending ECASIA 2017 in Montpellier.


The Biointerphases Student Award consists of a certificate and a cash prize of €500 for the winning student, or to be split among two winning students.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a Biointerphases Student Award, applicants must:

  • be registered as a graduate student or postdoc
  • present an oral or poster contribution relevant to the biointerface (see Application section)
  • pay the registration fees
  • be present during the Closing ceremony

Application

To compete for the Biointerphases Student Award, PhD students/postdocs have to :

  • check "yes" in the Abstract submission form (section: Biointerphases Student Award)
  • and must send by email to the Conference SecretaryProof of university enrollment/status (in English) before 31st March 2017

Procedure

The documents listed above must be received by March 31st by email to the Conference Secretary. The support letter must be sent by email by the supervisor.

The Biointerphases Student Award Committee will proceed in these steps:

  • On 12th May, a first selection: finalists will be chosen based on the scientific and the originality of the work.
     
  • The Final selection will proceed during the conference: The Committee will attend the selected presentations (during oral and poster sessions) in order to decide for the best works.
     
  • Certificate(s) will be given to the winners during the closing ceremony at the end of the conference.  Awardee contact information will be provided to the AVS Publications Office in order to arrange for funds transfer to the winner(s).

Biointerphases is a journal of the AVS published by the American Institute of Physics Publishing.
